Community Harvest Outreach, Inc. is a non profit organization that seeks to provide for the basic needs of the underprivileged in the community including food and clothing to those in need through the clothes closet and food pantry services. Our goal is to reduce malnutrition in the most vulnerable: children and the elderly and to prevent illnesses due to improper clothing and lack of food.

Community Harvest Outreach's Extending Our Reach Capital Campaign

Community Harvest Outreach, Inc. qualifies annually to participate in sponsored campaigns throughout Central Virginia, the Virginia Peninsula and Southampton.

We are excited to announce that Community Harvest Outreach is expanding its scope. We are building a new facility to assist us in expanding our borders and touching even more people as we endeavor to reach the community one family at a time until there is no more hunger in America. We are at capacity at our present facility as those we serve have to stand outside in all weather conditions in order to receive our services and the line wraps around the building.

The new facility will allow us to serve our community and abroad in the following ways:

Increase youth self-esteem and confidence Reduce the illiteracy rate (Adult GED program/ Youth Tutorial program)Decrease malnutrition among children and the elderly (Food Distribution) Strengthen the family Decrease the crime rate (Youth recreational program) Reward academic excellence Provide emergency assistance
